You’re going to a Halloween Bake sale in Stepford, Connecticut…

There you go, that’s the inspiration - ENJOY! Hahaha

Ok, I guess I’ll explain a little.

For the past few years I’ve created “Whimsyween” prompts lists for our Creative community. I’m not huge for the blood, guts and gore of traditional Halloween theming, so “Whimsyween” was my answer for a lighter, more whimsically slanted version of the Holiday. Australians also typically feel a little distant from Halloween as an observed celebration, so I feel like I’m allowed to change the rules for myself, Haha. In any case, I love a good challenge and prompts list, but this year I THEMED IT!

I have chose a Stepford Wives theme, because I am a bit of a fan of the 2004 movie version and I believe there’s truly nothing more horrifying than the idea that I could keep a nice household and look presentable whilst doing it. I am very interested in the fantasy of this idea, haha. Also this… this exact moment said “I want you to make me a prompts list and I want you to draw me a million times!”

So, all 31 prompts are for a Stepford Wife on her way to this Halloween Bake Sale. Interpret this as you will, I’ve put some of my concept sketches and ideas for you below if you’d like to follow that direction. I think I’m going to make myself a base and overlay all the different ideas as Halloween costumes and confections. My best piece of advice: don’t overthink it, the prompt is to get you started and as long as you’re creating something you’re doing it right :)
